Honey and Bread Feast
Every year, on August 15, the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin (coinciding with the closing of honey harvesting) is celebrated in the Ancient Beekeeping Museum in Stripeikiai, Ignalina region.
Honey and Bread Feast There is a theatrical performance given on this day about bees life, honey making. Respect is paid to beekeepers. During the feast participants can buy honey and other bee products as well as various cakes and bread products, other articles of folk art. Participants of the feast are entertained by performances of various artists. Last year participants listened to “Žvaigždžių kvartetas” (Quartettes of Stars), Veronika Pavilionienė, etc.
